Maurits Cornelis Escher (17 June 1898 – 27 March 1972),
usually referred to as M. C. Escher, was a Dutch graphic artist. He is known
for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints.
These feature impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, architecture,
and tessellations. This is one of my
favourite Escher drawings along with 'Hand with Reflecting Sphere' and
'Ascending and Descending'.

ReplyDeleteSuch a pleasure to see there still are fast postal services :)))
That's a clever drawing... I'm not out of cards to send but all the interesting ones you're getting are giving me quite an itch to go someplace where I could find some really good ones (I have no idea where that would be, though).
ReplyDeleteWow, really love this card! And it's coming from here, the Netherlands? Wow, never seen this one!
