A New Year's Day parcel

I had not expected any post on New Year's Day.  It's a Bank Holiday here in the UK.  But although there were no letters or cards there was a parcel from Heleen in the Netherlands.  Not only did it contain good wishes on a clock card but also a delightful clock pencil sharpener.  What a great reminder, of all the great 2015 clock postcards, the latter will be as it sits on my desk.

  2. Looking at my table, kitchen surfaces, bureau and all the other surfaces in my house I have found 11 pencils (and I have several boxes of them in various drawers). I thought that I was the last user of pencils but I'm glad to see that I'm not.

    1. The mysterious thing about pencils is that no matter how many you have, there never seems to be one at hand when you need it. I have pencils lying around everywhere in the flat as well, but every time I need one, I still have to search for them.

Welcome. I love it when visitors comment - even if it's only to say "Hi, I've been here!"
